Happy New Year Everyone!
This cardigan is seriously a LOVE item and a new staple in my closet. You might have seen me already post it to Instagram here because I couldn’t wait to share it with you all! It is lightweight which is great for all seasons and it comes in 6 versatile colors to fit each season as well. I paired it with this navy and white striped dress which fits so nice! It isn’t too tight but not baggy either (wearing a small for reference). My wedges are an old pair I bought at DSW I believe a year ago once we had moved down to Florida and I needed more sandal/open toed shoes with the consistent warm weather. I am loving these and these which are very similar to my current sandals and could be finding their way to my shoe rack soon (shh don’t tell Brad).
With the new year starting comes resolutions to eat healthier, lose weight, do this or do that and I have never loved the idea of making New Years Resolutions each year. Why you might ask? Because why do we need a new year to resolve some bad habit we are currently battling? However, if it changes your mindset and you can actually stick with something to better yourself because it is a new year, then by all means it is a good thing! I personally like setting goals for myself and I do so each and every week.
Brad and I both make lists each week of what we want to accomplish, share them with each other and try to hold each other accountable for those goals. We also sit down every few months and check in with our yearly goals we make together which revolve around finances, marriage, family, and professional life.
Now, onto my 2018 goals I have for myself:
- Relationships – I plan to call/connect with someone weekly and find new friends to connect with over 2018.
- Health – Workout 3 times per week and days I don’t find 10 minutes of time to do something active. I hard a VERY hard time with my job finding time for myself during January and February and this year I am going to try to make it a point to just take 10 minutes for myself. Also, to eat more veggies because I chose fruit any day of the week over them.
- Be Present -Take a digital break each day by setting my phone, computer, tv aside for at least an hour and focus whatever and whoever I am with which link back to #1!
